All-Star Soccer
Equipping young children with basic soccer skills . Learning a new sport can help your child develop social and motor skills . In this class , your child will learn fundamental soccer skills , including dribbling , passing and scoring . The lessons taught over the eight sessions will build and end with participants combining all their newly learned skills in a game . This is a fun , recreational class focused on teaching your child sportsmanship , listening skills and teamwork .

Gym Olympics
The gym is at the heart of this class , where children will play a variety of different sports and games each week to improve team skills , body control , balance and hand / eye coordination . Perfect for children who enjoy being active .

Coordination Plus : An Intro to Sports
Coordination can easily be one of the most important skills in playing any sport . In this fun introductory class students will enhance their coordination and other skills through fun drills and games . Hand-eye coordination , footwork , and reaction time are just a few that will be focused on in this class .

Jr . Ballers with Coach Nick
Calling all ballers ! Need to tighten up those skills for the season , or just want to learn the game ? Join Coach Nick as he teaches and practices all of your basketball skills ! From dribbling , to passing , to shooting , and even defense , this class has what you need ! We would be remiss for not mentioning the amount of fun it is going to be . We ’ ll see you on the court !

Jr . NBA
Jr . NBA is a program where children from preschool through 5th grade can focus on the fundamentals of basketball . From dribbling , passing , shooting , layups , rebounding and defense . The program instills teamwork , sports-person-ship , skill development , and most importantly FUN ! The start of the season will begin with a skills evaluation so that we can get to know the athletes and form as even teams as possible . Practices and games throughout the season will be facilitated by Nick Pruden ’ s leadership with the support of Pro Skills ’ coaches .

Nick Pruden
Nick Pruden has returned as the JCC ’ s Sports and Recreation Coordinator , after nearly 4 years as the Sports Director at the Valley of the Sun JCC in Scottsdale , AZ . Nick has been involved with or played sports essentially his entire life . Nick was an intern with the JCC in 2006 , and over the course of 14 years worked in a variety of roles and departments . He became a fixture of the JCC . Nick departed the JCC in 2020 as the Sports , Recreation , and Specialty Camps Director . He is also the former Maccabi Games Team Richmond delegation head .

Supervised pick-up basketball games in the Arenstein gym for all abilities .
