Ducks
Equipping children with basic
swimming skills
Instructor: Aquatics Staff
Ages: 3-5
8 week session
This class offers swim lessons for first-time
swimmers without a parent present in the
water. Skills to be taught include: entering
and exiting water safely, blowing bubbles,
submerging the mouth, nose and eyes, front
and back glide, front and back float, front
and back kick, front and back arm movement,
jumping into the water and water safety skills.
All skills will be performed with support from
the instructor.

with limited assistance from instructor. After
successful completion of the Ducks class, your
child can advance to this class. Skills to be
taught include: Breath holding, front and back
float, kicking and arm movements on front
and back, treading water and water safety
skills.
Children must be fully potty trained to
participate; this class is designed to be your
child’s first water experience without a parent.

Children must be fully potty-trained. Childcare children may not take another aquatics class outside of Lunch & Fun classes.
