This musical theatre performance class is for
young musical theatre enthusiasts who would
like to improve their dancing skills for the
stage. Students will learn fundamental types
of movement typically used in musical theatre
through music, staging, and choreography.

Second Stage
Working together to produce a youth theatre
company

Ages: Grades 6 – 9
12 week session (Additional class hours
toward the end of rehearsal period will be
announced.)

costume, and set pieces, Second Stage
builds upon a theatrical foundation to
help the student develop a complete
working understanding of the anatomy of a
production. Parents are invited to the final
performance in Spring 2015.

JCC Maccabi Games®
2015
Ages 13 – 16 (as of July 31, 2015)
The JCC Maccabi Games is a Junior Olympics
for Jewish teens, but serves a larger purpose
than athletic competition. The Games also
promote community involvement, teamwork,
and pride in being Jewish. The Games are the
largest Jewish teen event in the world; each
summer over 6,000 Jewish teens participate.
This is a great opportunity for teenagers to
represent Richmond and meet teens from all
over the country and world while competing in a
sport or performing an art specialty they enjoy.
This class is geared towards youth who are
interested in taking their passion for theatre
to the next level. Participants will receive
training in the creation and implementation
of a youth theatre company. From auditioning

Birthdays at the Weinstein JCC are a fun and
stress-free way to celebrate your child’s
special day. All parties include a party
room following the program for one hour,
white paper products, ice, tables, chairs,
white tablecloths, free access to outdoor
playgrounds, and party invitations.

Dance Parties
Let them play dress up and dance like no
one’s watching! Choose from ballet, tap, jazz,
or hip-hop with a professional instructor from
the Weinstein JCC School of Dance. All parties
held in the KC Dance Studio.

Pool Parties
Make a big birthday splash!
The party consists of one hour in the party
room (which you supervise) and one hour
of pool fun, where we supply the lifeguard
(children must be 5 or over). Parent-tot
parties are also available for 2-4 year olds.
The new salt-water Sternheimer Recreational
Pool features a beach entry, small slide,
large spiral slide, lemon drops, mushroom
waterfall, lazy river and whirlpool. Lifeguards
will be provided and children under 5 require
1 adult per child to accompany in the pool.
Party times vary: Saturdays 11 – 5 pm or
Sundays 12 – 5 pm
