WINTER BREAK CAMP

Grades: K – 8

Our winter and spring break camps are for children ages 5-12 who enjoy staying on the go! Activities can include morning yoga, basketball and gym time, exploring artistic skills with pottery, mosaics and soap making, traveling to the movies and the Science Museum, bowling and rollerskating. Registration for camps can be made per day or for full weeks.

These services are available to JCC members and non-members. If the member is not already a part of Kids’ Place, please register one week in advance to allow sufficient time to return required paperwork.

Cost per day: $ 70 JCC members $ 95 non-members

Cost per week: $ 275 JCC members $ 325 non-members

Cost for both weeks: $ 500 JCC members $ 550 non-members

Kids’ Night Out!

Grades: K – 5

Drop the kids off and let us fill their night with exciting activities! We’ ll be providing dinner, swimming, playing games and making yummy snacks. Past activities include scooter races, playing gaga, basketball games and many creative art activities. While we entertain your children, enjoy a full night out on the town or perhaps a quiet evening at home.

SCHOOL’ S OUT DAYS

Kids’ Place opens at 7:30 am and stays open till 6:00 pm on special days school is closed throughout the year. Children play at the Center, participate in Kids’ Place programs and at times take trips for different activities in town.

GET YOUR TEENS INVOLVED

Tikkun Olam Super Stars( TOSS)

Earn community service hours and help the community Grades: 6-8

Tikkun Olam( Hebrew for“ repairing the world”) is the basis for the TOSS program, which is designed to give middle schoolaged youth both a monthly social and community service opportunity throughout the school year. Not only can TOSS participants earn community service hours, but they will also learn the value and meaning of giving back to the community as well as engage in a fun social activity to support positive peer relationships.

October 23: Volunteering at the Fall Festival

November 20: Raking leaves for community members

December 4: Volunteering at Run-A-Latke

BBYO

Grades 9-12

BBYO is the world’ s leading nondenominational Jewish youth group. BBYO is a youth movement, with members electing their group leaders and planning their own events. This group participates in conventions throughout the year in cities both in and outside Virginia. Weekly and Sunday afternoon events are held at the Weinstein JCC throughout the year, with varied programs including social, educational and recreational activities, community service and Israeli programs.
