Music for Little Mozarts
4 - 6 yrs, accompanied by an adult
Come with your 4-6 yr old to meet Beethoven Bear and Mozart Mouse on their
musical adventures in this award-winning piano method for children. Together
we discover the fun of music and piano through many activities including,
learning to read music.
Music for Little Mozarts is an introduction to piano, music and movement
curriculum specifically designed for ages 4-6 years. The course centers on
the adventures of Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear as they learn about
music. As their adventures unfold throughout each book, with their two special
friends, Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear your child will be introduced to
piano through stories, movement, rhythm games, fun songs to sing and dance
to, and keyboard work.
What we “might” learn during our first semester: Piano posture, Hand position
and fingering, Piano and forte, Playing groups of 2 and 3 black keys - solid
and broken, Using and indentifying quarter notes, rest, bar lines, double bar
lines, repeat signs.
Each child will learn at their own speed, as each child is at a different stage
of their physical development. This program also helps in the development
of small muscle dexterity and coordination. Our key focus in this course is
that you and your child have FUN. A piano or keyboard is required for home
practice. Lesson books for $20 and optional CD $20 to be purchased from
instructor.

Drumming Circle
A drum circle is a rhythm-based event where people gather in a circle to
express themselves with African drums and percussion instruments. A
facilitator guides the session, encouraging and supporting people as they
reconnect with their innate sense of rhythm. Inclusiveness is a core principle;
people of all backgrounds, mobility, ages and skill levels can participate.

Bear’s Boogie Band
4 - 6 yrs, accompanied by an adult
Each session will have dozens of rhythms that will be transferred and
practiced in a fun, dynamic and interactive way. Drums and instruments will
be provided; anyone with their own drum is encouraged to bring it.
