Enjoy a night on the town or a quiet evening at home while the kids have a fun-filled evening at the Center. Kids will eat dinner and enjoy activities like arts and crafts, swimming, scavenger hunt, flashlight tag, manhunt, gym games, and a movie at the“ Weinstein JCC theater”.

Tikkun Olam Super Stars( TOSS)
Supported by: Rachel B. Banks Youth Fund Earn community service hours and help the community Grades: 6-8
Tikkun Olam( Hebrew for“ repairing the world”) is the basis for the TOSS program, which is designed to give middle school-aged youth both a monthly social and community service opportunity throughout the school year. Not only can TOSS participants earn community service hours, but they will also learn the value and meaning of giving back to the community as well as engage in a fun social activity to support positive peer relationships.

Middle School Float and Flicks

We are kicking off the 2017-18 school year with a fun filled night at the J! Middle Schoolers in grades 6-8 will enjoy a night at the moviespoolside complete with food, games and more!

Teen Trek: A Travel Group for Teens
Skiing and more in the Blue Ridge Mountains Sunday, December 17-20 Grades 6-8 $ 775
This is a multi-day travel trip for teens in grades 6-8. This year, we will be heading to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains for a 3-day, 4-night trip to Massanutten to enjoy a variety of winter sports and activities.
Teens will ski / snow board, tube, ice skate and more! Never been skiing / snowboarding before? Not a problem, all levels and abilities are welcome. This price of the trip includes lodging, food, and all activities.

Virginia Outside: Exploring the James
Instructor: Virginia Outside Staff Grades: 3-6 9-week session
( First 4 weeks fishing, remaining 5 weeks mountain biking)
Join the staff of Virginia Outside for some exciting after-school outdoor adventures in the James River Park and surrounding wild areas. We will fish, mountain bike, hike and explore some amazing places. We provide a safe time for the kids to be kids and enjoy time outside. Having fun, learning for themselves, skill development, and building a base that your child will carry for life, are just some of the things they will acquire in our wonderful outdoor playgrounds.
So put on your outdoor clothes, tie your shoes tight, and prepare for some adventure and excitement!
** Transportation provided to and from the Weinstein JCC. Children will return to the Center by 5:30 p. m.**
