Pre-Fins Group
Novice Program
Pre-fins is a great way to keep your child active this year while introducing them to Dolphin Club swim team program ! Practices are run as a hybrid between a swim team practice and group swim lessons . This gives the swimmers more personal attention from our coaches to improve their strokes , while also giving them a taste of the competitive swimming world . We will be holding fun intra-squad meets at the JCC throughout the year . The Pre-fins program emphasizes learning , fitness , and fun !
Swimmers must be 5 years or older and be able to swim 50 yards of legal freestyle and backstroke .

Parent and Child Aquatics Level 1
Instructor : Aquatics Staff ( WSI Certified ) Ages : 6 months – 3 years
Level 1 introduces basic skills to parents and children . Parents learn how to safely work with their child in the water , including how to appropriately support and hold their child in the water and how to prepare and encourage their child to participate fully and try the skills . Children receive an introduction to basic skills that lay a foundation for learning to swim . In addition , parents are introduced to several water safety topics . ( Maximum of 8 participants )
* All participants will be socially distanced to ensure public safety .

Parent and Child Aquatics Level 2
Instructor : Aquatics Staff ( WSI Certified ) Ages : 1.5 – 3 years
Level 1 introduces basic skills to parents and Parent and Child Aquatics Level 2 builds on the skills introduced in Level 1 . Participants improve on these skills and learn more advanced skills in Level 2 . As with Level 1 , water safety topics are also included in this level . ( Parent & Child Level 1 is not a prerequisite for this course ) ( Maximum of 8 participants )

Children not yet potty-trained will be required to adhere to a double diaper policy , meaning they must wear a disposable swim diaper and a reusable swim diaper , during instruction .
Dolphin Club Swim Team
Make friends and waves in the water all season long ! Ages : 5 – 18
There has been something special happening here at the Weinstein JCC with the Dolphin Club Swimming program . With the “ Fin Family ”, athletes can experience competitive swimming in an environment that facilitates selfconfidence , teaches patience throughout a process , and encourages positive relationship building . American Red Cross Parent and Child Aquatics is designed for children between the ages of 6 months and approximately 3 years , and their parents .
The purpose of the course is to familiarize children with the water and teach swimming readiness skills . In addition , Red Cross Parent and Child Aquatics provides safety information for parents and teaches parents techniques they can use to help orient their children to the water .
