Age: 18 & Up
Get outside this winter to breath fresh air, get some exercise, and learn
a little about local nature. We are ramping up our walks from leisurely to
a bit more movement and distance. Dress for the weather (rain, snow or
shine). At Ackerman Park, please meet by the playground. For the walk at
Glacier Ridge, meet at Walnut Glen Park. For the Village Green walk, meet
in front of the concession building/shelter. (rf)
RESTORATION
WORKDAYS
Help clear invasive plants, cut and stack brush, plant native flowers,
trees and seeds, maintain trails and more. Please bring gloves if you have
them – we will supply the tools, safety glasses and extra gloves. This is a
great opportunity for scouts, families, and community groups. If you plan
to bring a group or have any questions, please contact Renae Frigo at

Connecting with nature has many proven health benefits. Join a certified
Nature and Forest Therapy Guide at Churchill Park and learn how
to immerse yourself in natural settings through mindful actions and
observations, gain insights into local ecology, and better understand the
physical and mental benefits of this growing practice. The experience ends
