Ukulele Magic for Adults
Age: 18 & Up
This group class is designed for younger students to learn the
fundamentals of playing the Ukulele. Students will learn chord forms and
play basic traditional and contemporary ukulele songs. Students to provide
their own Ukulele. Instructor: Richard Rahn. Min/Max: 3/8. (ts) Age: 18 & Up
Get outside this winter to breath fresh air, get some exercise, and learn
a little about local nature. We are ramping up our walks from leisurely to
a bit more movement and distance. Dress for the weather (rain, snow or
shine). At Ackerman Park, please meet by the playground. For the walk at
Glacier Ridge, meet at Walnut Glen Park. For the Village Green walk, meet
in front of the concession building/shelter. (rf)

At Wheaton North High School (701 W. Thomas Rd., Wheaton) Nature and Forest Therapy Walks
Age: 18 & Up
These stress-free group lessons for the piano hobbyist emphasize the
joy of making music with others. Must register a minimum of one week
prior to start date so books can be ordered. “Pop Hits!”: features lead
sheets and arrangements for the early level pianist who wants to play easy
arrangements of familiar melodies. “Choose-Your-Music Makers”: Requires
an understanding of music reading and 2-3 years of experience playing
piano. Music is chosen from teacher and student suggestions. (ts) Age: 18 & Up
Connecting with nature has many proven health benefits. Join a certified
Nature and Forest Therapy Guide at Churchill Park and learn how
to immerse yourself in natural settings through mindful actions and
observations, gain insights into local ecology, and better understand the
physical and mental benefits of this growing practice. The experience ends
