International Waffle Day is coming up! This characteristic honeycomb
pattern breakfast food has evolved to be one of the most consumed and
exciting foods in our history. We will learn the history of this treat and how
an inventor used his critical thinking skills to invent the waffle ice cream
cone. Class culminates by making a homemade gourmet decked out waffle

Investigate everything spectacular about spring through hands-on
experiments! Participate in STEM exploration like the unbreakable egg
challenge, engineering a structurally sound chocolate bridge for the Easter
Bunny to cross, and transforming a bouquet of while flowers to spring
colors. Create spring Oobleck Goo and make spring butterflies dance by

LEGO ® STEM Workshop:
Transportation Timeline LEGO ® STEM Workshop:
Super Hero Academy
Age: 5-9
Students will explore the history of transportation from trains to the
development of the automobile and flight. Each lesson introduces
terminology related to transportation and describes how each vehicle
works. Students will have lots of fun building moving LEGO® creations
including motorized models of a car, dragster, helicopter, and airplane.
Our one-of-a-kind models incorporate gears, axles, motors and battery
packs. Students will follow step-by-step plans to create their vehicle, then
customize it to their own specifications and take a mini-figure for a ride!

Some of the coolest superheroes make amazing gadgets and use
scientific principles to stop the bad guys and solve crimes. We’ll be
doing just that and more using LEGO® Bricks and some ingenuity.
Students will use our proprietary kits, model plans, motors and battery
packs to build one-of-a-kind superhero creations & gadgets!

STEAM 102 – Robotic Adventures
At Main Street Recreation Center
Age: 6-8
Students as young as six years old can start learning about robotics using
the LEGO WeDo Robotics System. Participants will build and program
their own robotic creations using Legos, motors, and sensors, and
will program them using software created by the experts at MIT. This
unique system teaches children about simple machines, engineering,
programming, and more. Students will work together in teams of two.

ultimate sensory experience. Slime continues to be all the rage with kids.
Have the slime of your life creative seasonal slime in the concoction lab.
