Winter break was great , but let ’ s have one last day of fun before heading back to school ! We ’ re kicking off the Park District ’ s 100th year anniversary with an exciting afternoon full of giant games , inflatable attractions , trips up the climbing wall , music , food and so much more ! The event is free to attend , refreshments will be available for purchase . Free anniversary celebration cake will be available while supplies last . ( jr )

Chocolate , Cheese & Wine
Friday , February 1 • 4:30pm-8pm Held at Reserve 22
Age : 21 & Up . Enjoy an evening of wine , chocolate and cheese tastings from around the world . The admission ticket includes a souvenir wine glass , tastings of over 35 wines , as well as , chocolate and cheese . In addition , local Glen Ellyn restaurants will be showcasing a sample off their menu . Make dinner reservations and pre-order chocolates , cheeses and wines on-site for the Valentine season . All tastings will be available for purchase the day of . A portion of the proceeds is donated to the Glen Ellyn Park District Scholarship Program . ( ke )

Lunar Eclipse & Night Hike
Sunday , January 20 • 7:30pm-11:45pm Held at Lake Ellyn Boathouse
You ’ re invited to view the celestial event of the year - a total Lunar Eclipse ! As the eclipse takes place , stay warm with free hot chocolate in the Boathouse , check out fun facts , and enter for a chance to win a $ 100 gift certificate for the Glen Ellyn Park District in honor of our 100 Year Anniversary . Take a moonlit night hike with Naturalist , Renae Frigo through the park before the eclipse begins from 8pm-9pm . The partial eclipse begins at 9:33pm , full eclipse at 10:41pm , maximum eclipse at 11:12pm , full eclipse ends at 11:43pm . Most of this event will take place outdoors , please dress for the weather . ( jr )
