The Glen Ellyn Lakers Travel Soccer Program is a Glen Ellyn Park District program run with the
assistance of the Lakers Volunteer Board and parent volunteers throughout the club. Teams compete
at a variety of skill levels in leagues across the Chicago area. The Lakers strive to provide a positive
environment, which encourages the development of athletes who enjoy, understand, and are motivated
to be successful at the sport of soccer. All age groups are trained and coached by a member of our

2020-2021 Lakers Tryouts
Tryouts are a 2-day process and a requirement for any player interested in playing on a Lakers team,
including current Lakers players. All players must attend both days of tryouts to be eligible to make a
team. Due to US Youth Soccer mandates, age cutoffs follow the birth year of players starting January
1st. All tryouts will be held at Ackerman Park and conducted by Future Pros trainers. Please contact
[email protected] for any additional questions. All players must pre-register at www.gepark.org.
Players have 24-hours to respond to their tryout invitation.
- Selected players will be notified via email no later than two days after the final tryout dates.
- A $300 commitment fee is due 24 hours after teams are announced.
- Mandatory Pre-Season Camp will be in August. Dates to be determined by Future Pros.
