Gators SWIM TEAM
About the Program
Age: 7-18
The Gators Swim Team is made up of boys and girls 7-18 years of age who practice outdoors
at Sunset Pool and compete in the West Suburban Swim Conference throughout the summer.
Participants practice daily and learn the techniques and discipline of competitive swimming while
learning the value of sportsmanship and team spirit. Returning Gators will have priority registration;
however, no spots are guaranteed. The Gators compete at both “A” (more competitive) and “B”
(less experienced) meets. Parents are required to volunteer at two meets and swimmers can attend
five meets throughout the summer. A Parent Manual, with more program details, will be available
after May 1st at Main Street Recreation Center, Spring Avenue Recreation Center, Ackerman
Sports & Fitness Center and online at www.gegators.com.
Swim Team is not a lesson program. Participants 7 and 8 years old must be able to comfortably
swim 25 yards freestyle and backstroke without stopping. Participants over 9 years old must be
able to swim 50 yards freestyle and backstroke without stopping. Swimmers are expected to attend

Coffee with the Coaches
Join us on Tuesday, May 26th between 5pm-6:30pm at Sunset Pool to meet the
coaches and ask questions about the team!
Registration Fees
The Swim Team registration fee includes paid coaches, team apparel and league fees. Participants
may order Gator swim suits and apparel online at an additional cost at www.allamericanswim.
com by using the username ‘glen’ and password ‘gators’. According to the West Suburban Swim
Conference rules, a swimmer’s age shall be determined by his/her age as of June 1, 2020.
