Join art instructor Jenny Nagle for art
instruction in the park for the whole
family. Each event will feature a different
nature-themed art activity. Stick around
for our Movies in the Park directly
following Art in the Parks! (jr)
Venture out and enjoy the beauty of Lake
Ellyn! Instruction can be given on dry land
before you try our canoes, kayaks, or a
pedal boat. Children must fit properly in
a life vest in order to get on the lake. Pets
are not allowed in any boat.

• July 12 & July 26
• August 9 & August 30
Time: 12pm-4pm
Fee: $5 per boat for 20 minutes
Storytime in the Parks FREE!
Age: All. Come out to your favorite
neighborhood parks for stories, music
and movement with the Glen Ellyn Public
Library. Don’t forget to bring a blanket
and bug spray! In the case of inclement
weather, Storytimes will be held at the
Glen Ellyn Public Library. Call (630) 790-

Running Series

Age: All. Grab your running shoes
and get moving! Over the course of 9
nights we will log miles on our course at
Newton Park and enjoy pop-up theme
nights along the way. Theme nights will
be announced on the Park District's
Facebook page. Attend 7 of the 9 weeks
and earn a Monday Miles t-shirt! Please
note, Monday Miles will not be offered
on Monday, June 29. All ages welcome.
In case of inclement weather, Monday

Watch free movies under
the stars this summer
(don't forget your blanket
and lawn chairs)! Join us
before the movies for Art in the Park
with Jenny Nagle from 6:30pm-8:30pm.
Plus, free Andy's Frozen Custard while
supplies last! (jr) Age: All. Jazz in the Park brings a touch
of Ravinia to Glen Ellyn! Enjoy free live
concerts by the Glen Ellyn Jazz Ensemble,
a 16-member group. Bring a blanket,
lawn chairs and picnic dinner. In case of
inclement/severe weather, Jazz in the
Park concerts will be cancelled and will
not be rescheduled. Please note, no
alcoholic beverages are allowed. (jr)
