Jazz in the Park
Jazz in the Park brings a touch of Ravinia to Glen
Ellyn! Enjoy free live concerts by the Glen Ellyn Jazz
Ensemble, a 16-member group. Bring a blanket, lawn
chairs and picnic dinner. In case of rain or severe
weather, the concert will be cancelled. Please note,
no alcoholic beverages are allowed in the parks. (jr)

Participants will race their handmade cardboard boats
on beautiful Lake Ellyn. Winners are determined by
the fastest race times! Awards will also be presented
for most creative, team spirit, and best sink! Whether
you are building a boat or just out to watch the fun,
this family-friendly community event is a popular Glen
Ellyn tradition. Food trucks, arranged by the Glen Ellyn
Fourth of July Committee, will open at 11am.

Thursday, June 20 • 5:30pm-7pm
Held at Main Street Recreation Center
Join us on the new playground at Main Street
Recreation Center! While you're there, chat with
neighbors, enjoy free food (while supplies last), and
meet current and past Park District Commissioners.
We'll also have a raffle for a Park District gift basket
and a special giveaway for the first 100 attendees.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be
canceled. You can check the status of the event at

BOAT BUILDING INFORMATION
All entries receive 20 sheets of corrugated cardboard
to get started building their boats! The Park District will
provide paddles. Kayak paddles will not be allowed.
Pre-registration is required by June 28 at 12pm.
REGISTRATION FEE: $50 PER BOAT

FAMILY: Team of 8 participants or less. Each
113888 boat must have a balanced mixture of youths
(age 9-17) and adults (age 18+).
