EVENTS CONCERT AT LAKE ELLYN, 1948 Jazz in the Park Jazz in the Park brings a touch of Ravinia to Glen Ellyn! Enjoy free live concerts by the Glen Ellyn Jazz Ensemble, a 16-member group. Bring a blanket, lawn chairs and picnic dinner. In case of rain or severe weather, the concert will be cancelled. Please note, no alcoholic beverages are allowed in the parks. Winners are determined by the fastest race times! Awards will also be presented for most creative, team spirit, and best sink! Whether you are building a boat or just out to watch the fun, this family-friendly community event is a popular Glen Ellyn tradition. Food trucks, arranged by the Glen Ellyn Fourth of July Committee, will open at 11am. While you're there, chat with neighbors, enjoy free food (while supplies last), and meet current and past Park District Commissioners. We'll also have a raffle for a Park District gift basket and a special giveaway for the first 100 attendees. In case of inclement weather, the event will be canceled. (ke) COST: FREE • ALL AGES WELCOME BOAT BUILDING INFORMATION All entries receive 20 sheets of corrugated cardboard to get started building their boats! The Park District will provide paddles. Kayak paddles will not be allowed. Pre-registration is required by June 28 at 12pm. REGISTRATION FEE: $50 PER BOAT CODE CATEGORIES 113887 YOUTH: Team of 8 youths or less (ages 9-17) FAMILY: Team of 8 participants or less. Each 113888 boat must have a balanced mixture of youths (age 9-17) and adults (age 18+). 113889 ADULT: Team of 8 adults or less (ages 18 & up).
