BOATING/FISHING ADULT & DOG & SENIOR PARK BOATING & FISHING PASSENGER BOATING Non-motorized passenger occupied boating is allowed only on Lake Ellyn. Boating is allowed between sunrise and sunset from May 1 to November 1 by permit only. Permit application and boating regulations can be found at gepark.org/boating. Permit applications must be submitted in person at the Spring Avenue Recreation Center. Permit Fee: $5 MODEL BOATING Model Boating is allowed on Lake Ellyn and Lake Foxcroft. “Model Boats” refer to electric or radio-controlled boats or sailboats that have maximum speeds of 15mph or slower. Model Power Boating is strictly prohibited. FISHING INFORMATION Fishing on Park District waters requires any angler who is 16 years of age and older to carry a valid Illinois fishing license. Fishing license information can be found on the Illinois Department of Natural Resource’s website at dnr.illinois. gov/fishing. All fishing is catch and release only and ice fishing is prohibited. SPRING AVENUE DOG PARK A Border Collie named Arizona (pictured) became the park district's main line of defense against geese in 2003. Arizona was purchased from Flyaway Farms in North Carolina for $5,500. She retired in 2008. Unleash Some Fun at the Spring Avenue Dog Park! A permit is required for each dog visiting the dog park and must be displayed at all times when visiting the Spring Avenue Dog Park. Permits are issued at the Spring Avenue Recreation Center. To receive a permit, a dog owner must provide: proof of residency (acceptable forms include a current driver’s license, tax statement or utility bill), paper copy of rabies vaccination (not tags), a completed permit application, a completed waiver, and payment in full. The Spring Avenue Dog Park resident fee is $30 and the non-resident fee is $75 (includes one dog). A second dog option is offered for an additional $30 for residents and $50 for non-residents. Fees are not pro-rated and there is a two dog limit. Applications and waivers are available at www.gepark.org. 85
