Making Your Own Star Wars™ Movie
Held at Main Street Recreation Center
Age: 8-12
We will create our very own Star Wars™ movie using special digital
movie making cameras and software. As directors and producers, we
will work in teams to create our own story and script, build various Star
Wars™ LEGO® scenes, and film our own movie. We will use graphic
editing techniques and stop motion animations, add background noise
and music, and have a private screening of our movies on the last
day of class. All students will get a copy of their movie after class is

LEGO® STEM WORKSHOP
JEDI Engineering in Space
Held at Main Street Recreation Center
Age: 7-10
Build a world where rebels and the dark side start epic battles! Each
week, students will learn about real-life space exploration and use
their engineering skills, project kits and model plans to build different
motorized moving models that represent spacecraft from popular
space movie as well as models related to the NASA space program.
During this unit, participants will learn some of the science behind
launching things into orbit, will hear about the most distant man-made
object in the universe, and discuss what it is like to be an astronaut in

Celebration Slime – New Year’s Lab
Held at Spring Avenue Recreation Center
Age: 6-13
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5… Celebrate the magic leading up to New Year’s Eve by
making outrageously fun seasonal slime! Kids will have the slime of
their life decking out their slime with mix-ins like Santa’s fluffy beard,
confetti, sparkles, snow, scents, and more! We’ll play slime themed
games too! Class will culminate with a midnight style “balloon drop”
resulting in a confetti, treat, and souvenir storm for all the slime experts.
