With the LEGO® WeDo Robotics System, young children can build
and program their own robotic creations. Designed by the experts
at MIT, this unique system teaches children about simple machines,
engineering, programming and so much more. Young imaginations will

LEGO® STEM WORKSHOP

Age: 5-12
Kids can become an expert on these three beloved candies as we
explore the history of where M&M’s, Candy Corn and Peeps originated.
Next, the class will transform into scientists to conduct several candy
experiments to gain a deeper understanding of these nostalgic sweets.
Class will culminate with taste tests and other candy-themed activities
all while building self-esteem in an electrifying educational setting.

World of Amusement
Held at Main Street Recreation Center
Age: 5-11
Delve into the history and mechanics of your favorite amusement park
rides in this imaginative class. Students will use our proprietary LEGO
technic kits to construct a Ferris wheel, carousel swing, swing boat
ride, and a merry-go-round. Lessons incorporate principles of physics
described in a way children will understand, such as “g-force” inertia
and momentum, as well as math concepts. These engaging lessons will
give students an understanding of the physical forces they experience

Create & Animate with Scratch 2.0
Held at Main Street Recreation Center
Age: 8-12
Students will learn the fundamentals involved in creating a video
game world using Scratch, the innovative programming language
created just for kids by MIT. In this class, students will be introduced
to programming by creating and editing sprites and game opponents.
They will learn about sound and video as they “level up” through the
building of their own game. Students work together in teams and will
receive a copy of the software and their game at the end of class.

Halloween Science,
A Horrifyingly Haunted Lab

science workshop. Have fun with weird and wacky concepts like
pumpkin puking, static powered witches, healthy Halloween pranks, the
science secrets of a fall creepy carnival, boo-tiful balloon experiments,
sickening scents, blood and bruises, and more horrifying Halloween
