Weekend Camping Most of the council ' s eighteen properties are available for weekend camping . Some are primitive sites ; others feature Adirondacks ( three-sided cabins that sleep six to eight ) or mini-Dack ( tent-sized structures that sleep two ) for easy rainy season adventures . Holiday Weekend Family Camps Do you love to go camping with your family over the Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends , but can ’ t stand the noisy crowded public campgrounds ? We have a great way for your family to enjoy the outdoors over these holiday weekends . Come to Camp Meriwether for a fun , relaxing weekend at the beach ! We provide a light program for those that wish to stay in camp . Many families tour local attractions during the day and return to Meriwether as their base camp .
