What is left over after wastewater has run
through the treatment plant?
There is clean water. It flows into the river and
goes on downstream.
There is sediment. The sediment settled on the
bottom of the tanks. The sediment is made into
biosolids. Once processed, the biosolids can be used as
a fertilizer. Biosolids can be put on
cropland to help plants grow.
