KVITOVA

Such is the dominance of Serena Williams at the All England Club, only five other women have won Wimbledon since Serena landed her first SW19 title in 2002.

Names such as Maria Sharapova, Amelie Mauresmo and Marion Bartoli are part of that selected few, but only two others have been multiple winners in that time.

The obvious one is Venus Williams, a five-time champion, and the other is one Petra Kvitova.

So for that reason, it's no surprise to see Kvitova as the market leader for this year's Wimbledon. Especially with Serena Williams missing the tournament due to being pregnant.

Kvitova has been successful on the grass at Wimbledon in 2011, beating Maria Sharapova in straight sets, and then in 2014, beating Eugenie Bouchard 6-3, 6-0 in an impressive centre court display.

This is a tournament that brings out the very best in her, in fact, it's the only tournament she has ever reached the final of, so it's pretty pointless looking at her form in the three other majors.

She's done nothing special at all this year, missing out on the Aussie Open and then dumped out of the French in the second round. She's also hasn't got past the third round in the last two Wimbledon's, so she really does need a change in fortunes to make it through the next two weeks.
