Oct. 1 Enrollment Report Michelle VanDenTop, director of technology and information services, and Nick Herman, data integration manager, provided a comprehensive report on student enrollment for the 2019-20 school year. Data included in this report is used for budgeting and planning purposes. Enrollment in Anoka-Hennepin is 342 students over projection at 37,386. This is the highest district enrollment in the past nine years. Increased kindergarten enrollment over projection accounts for nearly a third of the increase with 105 more students than projected. School Transportation Services for July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2025 Greg Cole, chief operations officer, Chuck Holden, consultant, Tiffany Audette, CPPB, purchasing manager, and Keith Paulson, director of transportation, provided an overview of quotes and the process to award new student transportation contracts which expire June 30, 2020. The district had 13 interested bidders for three separate contracts that serve portions of the district. The School Board approved a recommendation to enter into a five-year contract with Kottke’s Bus Service for a portion of the district known as Area B, with a first-year increase of 3.5% and a 2% increase in years two through five. A bus driver shortage and the labor costs associated with it are significant factors that impact transportation costs.
