Over the past three school years, Anoka-Hennepin has been implementing 42 action items
developed within nine mental health recommendations. These recommendations have
included:

Early identification of at-risk students.
Increase students ability to cope with adversity by providing resiliency programming.
Co-location and/or management of mental health.
Managing role of the mental health consultant.
Expanding community awareness of mental health issues.
Utilizing multidisciplinary teams to consult on complex issues.
Develop follow-up procedures and support for youth identified with multiple risk
factors.
Delivering effective professional development for district staff.
The School Board acknowledged the progress made in providing mental health programs
and support for students of the three-year period. A mid-year status report will be provided as an update to the School Board and community.

ACTION
The School Board approved a building supervisors contract for July 1, 2015, to June 30,
2017. The agreement was presented by Nicole Tuescher, executive director of human resources, and was negotiated within the budget parameters established by the School Board.
The contract will increase compensation by 2.25 percent each year with an additional clothing allowance added in the second year of the contract.
