made nine recommendations for the School Board to consider, with additional space for elementary students,
removal of portables, additions and upgrades at all high schools, and upgrades to all schools districtwide listed
by Holden. The board moved to approve an election on Nov. 7 to address facility needs. The final projects in-
cluded on the ballot would be determined after a series of community meetings to be held at area high schools
in May.
Open enrollment
Dr. Joel VerDuin, chief technology and information officer, provided an update regarding modifications in state
law that impact open enrollment and in-district transfer policies that will be presented for School Board review
at upcoming meetings.
