Staffing timeline
Nicole Tuescher, executive director of human resources, and Sarah Kriewall, director of employee services,
provided an update on a board strategic priority regarding recruitment and retention of employees. The report
included results involving Anoka-Hennepin’s improvement in filling paraeducator and teaching positions in a
timely manner. It also included updates on the district’s efforts on the “grow-your-own” program for teacher can-
didates and student teacher programs. Anoka-Hennepin is focused on recruiting, developing and maintaining a
high-quality workforce.
General counsel
Revisions to policy 903.1 - school security and visitors to Anoka-Hennepin buildings and sites
during instructional day
Paul Cady, general counsel, introduced the policy for review. The policy includes a minor revision to include
language to provide access to school facilities and resources for post-secondary (PSEO) students. The policy is
expected to return to a future meeting for formal approval.
