ACTION FIGURE RESOURCE MAGAZINE TODAY’S TOYS, TOMORROW’S TREASURES Welcome to the September issue of the AFR Magazine. If you are a regular reader, and even if you’re not, please share this magazine with as many as your friends as you can and help me spread the word. In order to keep this magazine viable, I need to get as many readers as possible otherwise I’m either going to have to discontinue it or start charging a nominal fee each month, which I’d rather not do. The Survivors Guide to Collecting this month takes a close look at the alternative ways of storing and displaying your action figures in a safe environment in order to prevent any damage or discoloring of them. This month’s Top Ten will take a look at the world of Halo figures and is sure to be as controversial as always with hardcore collectors. So let us know what YOUR top 10 figures are! Produced & published by: Colin Dorman Articles by: Colin Dorman, Alex Shaw Reviews supplied by: Michael Crawford http://www.mwctoys.com Action Figure Resource Website: http://action-figure-resource.com Email: [email protected] Advertising enquiries, please send to the above email address. Also in this issue is the concluding part of the Alien/Predator guide as well as a look at the Wizard of Oz figures from Mego’s line released in 1974 to the Trenco figures released in 1998. There is a nice variety of figures in this month’s top eBay auctions and the Star Wars category seems to be quieting down a little, but perhaps this is in expectation of the release of the new movie and the increased interest that is bound to bring. Jakks Pacific are synopsis with wrestling figures and despite their UFC and MMA lines seem to be struggling with their action figure lines since losing the WWE license to Mattel, which was a sad day for us all, so this month we take a retrospective look at the company and its achievements. Captain Toy’s Review section has no fewer that TWELVE in-depth reviews this month including The Muppets, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Game of Thrones to name a few! If you have any question, queries or remarks about any of the articles please contact me. All-in-all there are 110 pages of full color news and reviews for you, and its still FREE! If you are interested in advertising in the AFR magazine or website please contact me for a rate card. Regards, Hope you enjoy and don’t forget to let me know what you think! Colin
