Action Figure Resource Magazine November 2014 | Page 4

Hi there , Welcome to another packed issue of the AFR Magazine, which kicks off with the rather controversial topic of the Breaking Bad figures that have been withdrawn from TRU, but what else would you expect, after all this IS Breaking Bad after all! IJones n this issue I complete the guide to the Indiana figures with a look the Hasbro figures and Lego Mini-figure sets and a few random 12-inch figures that have been released. Also the Customizer’s tutorial looks at painting and preparing your figures, how to achieve the best results, tools to use as well as different brush and painting techniques. This month’s Kickstarter is Eon Quest, a new line of action figures with a retro 1970s feel and each figure also comes with a comic and a backing card detailing the characters history. There’s also news from both DC and Marvel on the upcoming movies, and be warned, they’re loads of them and Marvel especially had some exciting news with plans for the Infinity story arc in The Avengers movies. I also take a further look at the 3D Printing industry and its likely effects on the action figure market and more importantly the high end figures and collector’s figures. 3D printing is being likened to the industrial revolution because of its potential to disrupt so many different industries, jobs and careers. I also intend to look at how you can use this technology to help you with your collections and creating your own custom made figures. http://www.today.com/parents/aaron-paul-slams-toys-r-us -banning-breaking-bad-not-1D80239827
