It all started in 1927 when Russell Kerlin began selling Ford Model T cars in downtown Silver Lake, IN. This family owned and operated Ford dealership has grown into many complimentary businesses Kerlin's now have six buildings in two locations. Kerlin's is continuing to serve Silver Lake, IN and now serving the Warsaw, IN area, which is just 12 miles north of Silver Lake.
The Ford dealership, located on State Road 15 in Silver Lake, has earned more customer excellence awards from Ford Motor Company than any other Ford dealer in the entire United States.
Along with the full line of Ford products in Silver Lake is the New Holland tractor and implement departments for sales and service of farm equipment. Grasshopper mowers and Bush Hog equipment are also available in Silver Lake along with Arctic Cat ATVs and the trailer division, including Kiefer Built, Kiefer Industrial, Bison, Lakota , The Aluminum Trailer Company, Moritz, Delta, U.S. Cargo, Forest River and Sundowner trailers.
Trailers are available for all hauling needs, including livestock, horse, cargo, car haulers, flatbeds, garage trailers, and more. Many of the trailers are equipped with living quarters for mobile living and hauling.
In 2004 a Warsaw location was added. Located on US 30 East for easy access from all the surrounding area is Kerlin Trailers, Motorsports, and Western World. This location is popular for all types of trailers, Arctic Cat ATVs, and the recently opened Western World.
Western World is dedicated to all levels of equine enthusiasts, from the casual horse owner or 4-H member to the professional trainers and show circuit participant. In the 7,500 square foot showroom, you will find trailers on display as well as ATVs.
Also located in the showroom is the well-stocked Western Store including English and Western riding styles. Brands you will find include Justin, Lucchese, and Roper boots and footwear. Saddle brands include Billy Cook, Reins man, and Fabtron and tack by Schutz Brothers. Clothing manufacturers featured are Cinch, Cruel Girl, Rockies, Roper, Wrangler, and Riggs for men, women, and children. Kerlin has now become a Carhartt dealer as well. Also featured are Bailey Hats, Nocona Belts, Jaag plush animals, Montana Silversmiths, Elk Creek Silver, and many exclusive gifts.
