ACTHA Monthly June 2015 | Page 38

A campaign began on GoFundMe.com to help raise money to buy the property at auction. But, sometimes God has other plans and a new location presented itself that is perfect for the Center. It is high and dry, with wonderful pastures for the horses. The Center was able to purchase the property on five acres and is in the process of renovating it. Unfortunately, there isn’t a barn on the property, so a pole barn will need to be built. Healing Touch does have a GoFundMe account set up for the Barn Campaign. They hope to move to the new facility by June 15th.

Healing Touch has the combination of talent and dedicated people to carry out their mission of helping the special needs community in a loving and professional manner. An organization such as Healing Touch doesn’t make it happen without help. It takes a dedicated team working together to make it great; from the caring Board of Directors who are committed to the cause of helping and giving back ,to the volunteers who are there for the children, week after week. Volunteers happily wear many hats at Healing Touch, side walkers, horse leaders, tack and stable care and the countless other tasks that need to be done on a daily basis. All for the sake of those whose lives they will touch.
