Together, Cool Sheik and I set the year 2014-15 goal for a respectable National placing. It was in March after recovery from back surgery that I realized we were ranked in the Top 5 in Pleasure division. We set out to maintain that status. I am thrilled with Cool and his eagerness to always compete. WE won Bronze, Warrior, Silver, Silver Elite, Gold, and 4th in the Nation in Pleasure, all while attending less than 35 rides.

Casper has been my trail riding buddy for the past 11 years. He is honest, willing, and the easiest going horse. His favorite speed is “Whoa”. So when I discovered ACTHA 2 1/2 years ago, I thought it would be right up our alley. We went to our first event and were immediately hooked by the obstacles, the atmosphere, and our fellow competitors. ACTHA riders are the best!

Stormy and I found each other at the beginning of the 2014-2015 season. We have earned the Bronze, Silver, Gaited, Gold and Platinum medals acquiring 461 points. Michael and I have put lots of miles on our RV and have enjoyed the friends we have met along the way. Thanks to ACTHA our horsemanship has grown tremendously.

It has been a wonderful riding season for Spirit and I. It started with uncertainty after I had hip replacement surgery and Spirit was idle for five weeks, but WOW. What a finish! I am grateful for the opportunity to have ridden with and learned from some of the finest riders in the nation. Thank you all!
