Kim’s events draw maximum numbers of participants and with good reason. With encouragement from fellow riders Kim and her team of Rob and “The Little Man” now hold 2 day weekend events exclusively. So popular are her events that many riders come from out of state making it a weekend of camping, socializing and trail riding. Kim has worked hard to incorporate a variety of demonstrations, information sessions and mini clinics aimed at supporting the sponsors of her trail rides while promoting enjoyment, entertainment and education.
She has incorporated everything from performances by Vaulting Teams and Drill Teams to Parelli demonstrations, a Rider Biomechanics clinic and a Cavallo Boot information session. In addition, Kim has added a “Free of Charge” ride after the ACTHA event on Sundays. In the past they have done a Guided History Tour down at FDR State Park and are in preparation for an awesome “GeoGache on Horseback” for their upcoming event on December 13-14, 2014 at the Roosevelt Stables.
Roosevelt Stables holds a special place for Kim and Rob since that is where he proposed to her during an August event Kim held. With a wedding set for next May, Kim jokingly tells us that she and Rob will probably host a “Wedding Theme” ride in the spring to raise money for their honeymoon. With Kim’s ingenious event themes and creative twists on obstacles I wouldn’t put it past her.
