Dolly and Heart have just reached their Gold Medal status and are eyeing the Platinum Medal next. We, and the Rocky Mountain Horse Association are proud to have them as part of the sport! It’s poetry in motion to watch Dolly and Heart work as a team to execute obstacles and it’s obvious they both love ACTHA with all their “Hearts.” Catch them out on the trail and tell them “hello!”
The pair compete on a state and national level in Rocky Mountain shows, exhibiting in western pleasure, country trail, and versatility classes. In 2012, they headed to Kentucky to participate in the Rocky Mountain World Show and came home with a rainbow of ribbons and a blue ribbon in Amateur Versatility.
Fast forward, thirty one rides later… Dolly and Heart are the 2014 Illinois State Open Division Champions. We caught up with them at the 2014 Rocky Mountain World Championship Show and watched them strut their stuff at the arena challenge held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
Dolly (and Heart) are incredible ACTHA supporters and are great ambassadors of the sport of competitive trail riding.
