"From Scruffy to Banner"
I remember when Scruffy came to us. His name wasn't really Scruffy, but that’s what I called him and it certainly fit. A friend had asked us if we could keep him at our farm for a while because his daughter had lost interest in riding. When he arrived he wasn’t a pretty sight. A three year old, he had been the “low man” in the herd. He was covered in nicks and cuts from all the kicks and bites he had received from the other horses. His coat was dull and kind of a mustard brown color, his mane and tail had been chopped off leaving him looking - well...
Scruffy.
