EDITORIAL “The Times They Are A-Changin’ …” For many years, Acta Dermato-Venereologica (ActaDV) has benefitted immensely from the expertise of 17 dis- tinguished Section Editors (SEs), who are specialized in different fields of dermatology and sexually transmitted diseases. One of these SEs, Professor Lars Iversen, re- cently asked to be replaced after serving on the editorial board for 8 years. Although I respect his decision, I will surely miss his skillful and friendly help in evaluating papers on autoimmunity and psoriasis. I thank him sin- cerely for many years of devoted service to ActaDV and wish him the best of luck in his future commitments. At the same time, I am happy to welcome two new distinguished scientists as SEs; Drs Enikö Sonkoly, MD, PhD, and Magnus Ågren, PhD. Dr Sonkoly is Senior Lecturer of Dermatology and Venereology at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm. She received her basic training in medi- cine at the Semmelweis University in Budapest and the University of Szeged, where she was awarded her PhD in Immunology in 2005. After initial postdoctoral training at the Department of Der- matology, Heinrich-Heine University, Dusseldorf, she moved to Sweden in 2006 and has since been affiliated with Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital, and since 2016 has been a specialist in Der- matology and Venereology. Her special research interest is in the pathogenesis of psoriasis and related diseases, focusing on the role of microRNAs. She is the author of nearly 50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Dr Ågren is Adjunct Professor of Surgery with special focus on Tis- sue Repair and Regeneration at the Department of Clinical Medicine, University of Copenhagen. He is also affiliated with Copenhagen Wound Healing Center, Bispebjerg Hospital, Copenhagen, Denmark. Dr Ågren was awarded his PhD in Experimen- 1063 tal Pathology in 1990 at Linköping University, Sweden. He subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Sur- gery, University of Miami School of Medicine, Miami, Florida, USA in 1993. He then moved to Copenhagen, where he was a Senior Scientist and manager for 5 years in industry. Since then he has held various different academic positions. Dr Ågren’s special research interest include the role of extracellular matrix and matrix metal- loproteinases in wound healing in different tissues. He has published over 120 articles and has edited 2 book volumes on wound healing. As for myself, I will resign as Editor-in-Chief of ActaDV at the end of this year, a position I have held since 1999. I am happy to announce that my replacement, Professor Artur Schmidtchen, Lund University, will be taking on the role of Editor-in-Chief in Ja- nuary 2018. Dr Schmidtchen, who is currently the Co-Editor, is a distinguished researcher and clinician, who has numerous publications in high- ranking journals, mainly in the fields of tissue repair, innate immunology and bacteriology. I wish him the best of success in his new position as Editor-in-Chief. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank sin- cerely all my co-workers who have served on the ActaDV board and in the Editorial Office since 1999, particularly Editorial Manager Agneta Andersson and Editorial As- sistant Anna-Maria Andersson, without whose excellent support my task would have been virtually impossible. Lastly, I would like to thank all our skilled colleagues around the world who have agreed to act as peer revie- wers for ActaDV, a sine qua non for any high-quality scientific journal.
