E-mail: [email protected] A 13-year-old girl presented with an unusual asymptomatic birthmark on her scalp. The birthmark increased in size gradually in proportion to the patient’s growth. Her phy­ sical and mental development was normal and there were no other associated neurological, skeletal or congenital anomalies. There was no family history of this disorder and no consanguinity. Physical examination revealed a 5 × 8 cm alopecic patch on the vertex of her scalp. The lesion consisted of aggregated comedo-like pits and scars (Fig. 1).
