As I played a quick playback to check sound, Josh Abbott took to the stage. The raw acoustic sounds once again filled the room, and Josh began to show us just how powerful his vocals are, in a song that stood apart from his hit singles. Evoked with such powerful emotion, his song ‘Ghosts’ seemed to be conjured from the deepest parts of his soul.
Song after song the group continued to blow the room away with their performances. It was almost too good to be true. The dream of the Mobile Studio was alive, and it was filled with some of the best talent around. When they made their way back to their tour busses, I closed up shop and thanked God it was all captured, and more than just a memory.

With Austin Davis picking away on the banjo, while Casey did his thing on lead and harmonies, the swell of Dave’s accordion brought elements to the song that are unmatched to this day.
