We are recruiting people to take part in a clinical research study for sickle cell disease ( SCD ). Adults and adolescents who meet the following criteria may be eligible : Males and females 12 to 65 years of age . Confirmed diagnosis of SCD . Two to ten pain episodes ( vaso-occlusive crises ) within the past 12 months .
