Team eyeCoders , Rusiru Thushara , NuwanPiyarathna , Nayana Thilanka , a group of second-year students from the Department of Computer Engineering has emerged second runners up at the IESL Techno Hackathon-Xtreme which was held on the 12th of October 2019 .
ACHIEVEMENTS
Dimuth Wickramanayake , an immediate graduate of the department ( E / 13 batch ) has been awarded the Migara Ratnatunga Trust Award for Industrial Training for Undergraduates -2018 / 2019 . It is awarded by the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka ( IESL ) for the best industrial trainee project in Sri Lanka under the discipline of computer engineering . Dimuthu was presented with this award ( a cash prize and certificate ) at the IESL induction and graduation ceremony .

Team Testing123 of Prabhath Bandara , Kaveesha Dilshani , Chamara Gunarathne and Shehan Perera has been able to emerge as the 1st runner up at iHack 5.0 Inter-University hackathon organized by University of Colombo School of Computing ISACA Student Group and held on the 26th and 27th of October 2019 .
