algorithmic
programming
competition in Sri Lanka, which is
organized by ACES in collabaration with
Hackers' club UOP, was successfully held
on 15th and 16th of December 2018 at
the Faculty of Engineering, University of
Peradeniya.

Aces Coders V7.0 was commenced after
the registration of the competitors on day
one. 360 undergraduates gathered into
120 teams from different universities and
higher educational institutes throughout
the country were ready to perform their
coding talents. The opening ceremony
was held at the EOE Pereira theatre and
competition has improved significantly so
far. After that, reminding the support from
the industry, presentations and speeches
were done by the representatives of the
sponsors. This year, the competition was
sponsored by London Stock Exchange
Group (Platinum sponsor), SYNOPSYS
(Gold sponsor), THE SOFTWARE PRACTICE
(Silver sponsor), PROAVOS LABS(T-shirt
partner), Mobisec, IFS and Maverick.io
(Event partner), README (Digital media
partner),GAUGE (University media partner)
in collaboration with the HACKERS' CLUB
of University of Peradeniya. After giving
a brief introduction about the rules and
regulations of the competition, competitors
headed to their respective desks for their
12-hour coding mission.

Department of Computer Science &
Engineering (CSE), Faculty of Engineering,
University of Moratuwa were the runners-up
while UOM_GhostCoders from Department
of Electronic & Telecommunication
Engineering (ENTC), Faculty of Engineering,
University of Moratuwa became the 2nd
runners-up of this competition.
