December​ ​ or​ ​ January.​ ​ ​ In​ ​ order​ ​ to​ ​ play
basketball​ ​ you​ ​ will​ ​ have​ ​ to​ ​ get​ ​ good
grades​ ​ and​ ​ have​ ​ good​ ​ behavior​ ​ in​ ​ class.
If​ ​ you​ ​ don’t​ ​ have​ ​ good​ ​ grades​ ​ or​ ​ good
behavior​ ​ you​ ​ will​ ​ have​ ​ to​ ​ sit​ ​ out​ ​ on​ ​ the
bench​ ​ during​ ​ games​ ​ and​ ​ stay​ ​ home
during​ ​ practices.​ ​ For​ ​ more​ ​ information

Notes​ ​ on​ ​ Studying

1.) Quiet​ ​ Place-​ ​ One​ ​ good​ ​ way​ ​ to
study​ ​ is​ ​ to​ ​ find​ ​ a ​ ​ quiet​ ​ place​ ​ and
just​ ​ try​ ​ to​ ​ memorize​ ​ everything
you​ ​ need​ ​ to​ ​ know.
2.) Turn​ ​ on​ ​ some​ ​ music-​ ​ Music​ ​ will
always​ ​ help​ ​ you​ ​ focus​ ​ and​ ​ tune
out​ ​ the​ ​ world​ ​ around​ ​ you.
3.) Test​ ​ yourself-​ ​ Get​ ​ someone​ ​ or
yourself​ ​ and​ ​ write​ ​ up​ ​ a ​ ​ little​ ​ test
that​ ​ will​ ​ cover​ ​ all​ ​ subjects​ ​ of​ ​ the
test​ ​ and​ ​ will​ ​ show​ ​ you​ ​ what​ ​ you
need​ ​ to​ ​ study​ ​ more.
4.) Make​ ​ Flashcards-​ ​ If​ ​ you​ ​ are
doing​ ​ a ​ ​ vocab​ ​ quiz​ ​ or​ ​ Math​ ​ facts
quiz​ ​ it​ ​ is​ ​ always​ ​ a ​ ​ benefit​ ​ to​ ​ have
flashcards​ ​ to​ ​ study​ ​ off​ ​ (Plus
some​ ​ teachers​ ​ give​ ​ extra​ ​ credit).
5.) Make​ ​ a ​ ​ Study​ ​ Sheet-​ ​ If​ ​ the
teacher​ ​ did​ ​ not​ ​ give​ ​ you​ ​ a ​ ​ review,
make​ ​ one.​ ​ ​ You​ ​ just​ ​ need​ ​ to
cover​ ​ the​ ​ correct​ ​ topics​ ​ and​ ​ study
the​ ​ sheet​ ​ carefully.

Backpacks​ ​ for​ ​ Homeless
In​ ​ October,​ ​ the​ ​ ACES​ ​ Community
Service​ ​ Club​ ​ collected​ ​ and​ ​ donated
backpacks​ ​ for​ ​ the​ ​ homeless.​ ​ ​ They​ ​ filled
backpacks​ ​ with​ ​ supplies​ ​ such​ ​ as​ ​ water
bottles,​ ​ toothpaste,​ ​ toothbrushes,​ ​ new
gloves,​ ​ new​ ​ hats,​ ​ new​ ​ blankets,​ ​ socks,
and​ ​ small​ ​ bags​ ​ of​ ​ chips​ ​ and​ ​ snacks.
They​ ​ did​ ​ this​ ​ this​ ​ to​ ​ help​ ​ the​ ​ homeless
in​ ​ the​ ​ ​ hope​ ​ to​ ​ make​ ​ a ​ ​ difference​ ​ in​ ​ their
lives.
