The Brooklawn Buzz
September/October edition 2017
starts around November and ends in
December or January. In order to play
basketball you will have to get good
grades and have good behavior in class.
If you don’t have good grades or good
behavior you will have to sit out on the
bench during games and stay home
during practices. For more information
about the team you can talk to Mr.
Casey.
Notes on Studying
By:Sebastian Correa
1.) Quiet Place- One good way to
study is to find a quiet place and
just try to memorize everything
you need to know.
2.) Turn on some music- Music will
always help you focus and tune
out the world around you.
3.) Test yourself- Get someone or
yourself and write up a little test
that will cover all subjects of the
test and will show you what you
need to study more.
4.) Make Flashcards- If you are
doing a vocab quiz or Math facts
quiz it is always a benefit to have
flashcards to study off (Plus
some teachers give extra credit).
5.) Make a Study Sheet- If the
teacher did not give you a review,
make one. You just need to
cover the correct topics and study
the sheet carefully.

Backpacks for Homeless
In October, the ACES Community
Service Club collected and donated
backpacks for the homeless. They filled
backpacks with supplies such as water
bottles, toothpaste, toothbrushes, new
gloves, new hats, new blankets, socks,
and small bags of chips and snacks.
They did this this to help the homeless
in the hope to make a difference in their
lives.
