Dear Friends and Colleagues , Welcome to ACE23 — the American Water Works Association ’ s Annual Conference & Exposition !
We are excited to present this year ’ s most important and informative event for the international water community . Enjoy a spectacular lineup of workshops , technical sessions , speakers , exhibitors and competitions , and the opportunity to network with thousands of water innovators . There is something of value for everyone to experience .
For all of us , ACE is a welcome chance to connect in person with peers from all across the water community . The conference represents an opportunity to gain a more perspicuous understanding of the latest global water challenges and provides a setting in which to collaborate on solutions and strategies that impact so many .
This year ’ s program highlights the findings from our Water 2050 initiative that was launched a year ago . Since then , the water community and our sector partners have worked collectively to chart a course to water sustainability . It ’ s a Call to Action in which I hope you will participate . Highlights from Water 2050 will be showcased at the Innovation Hub , the AWWA Pavilion , and throughout many of the forward-thinking presentations and sessions at ACE23 .
I would like to especially thank the Ontario Water Works Association for hosting this year ’ s event in Toronto . Who better to provide local inspiration than Keynote Speaker Dr . Hayley Wickenheiser , an Olympic gold medalist hockey player , physician and respected community leader ?
I am excited to join you and thousands of other water professionals at ACE23 . The connections we make this week will continue to be valuable long after we all return home .
