Hydraulic Modeling-Development, Calibration,
and Analysis
8:30–11:45 a.m.
Room: Mile High Ballroom 2C
Track: Infrastructure Design and Project Delivery
Moderator: Christie Patel
Models can predict pressures, identify problems, and
demonstrate the effectiveness of a potential solution. Testing
different alternatives allows utilities to see improvements and
potential cost savings. Planners have at their disposal a variety
of traditional and nontraditional assessment methodologies
and tools. This session will present topics from the basics
of developing hydraulic models to advanced calibrations
and analyses.

Best Practices in Alternative Project Delivery Methods
8:30–11:45 a.m.
Room: Mile High Ballroom 3A
Track: Infrastructure Design and Project Delivery
Moderator: Fred Bloetscher
The traditional project delivery method of Design-Bid-Build is still
common place; the industry is embracing new methodologies to
deliver projects on time and under budget. To make things more
interesting, alternative project delivery is not a one-size fits all
and owners are finding success with hybrid methods of multiple
delivery options. This session will provide direction on ‘how to
implement’ Alternative delivery methods for Water Resources
Projects including Design/Build, Construction Manager-at-Risk,
and Progressive-Design-Build project delivery methods.
