SPECIAL EVENTS
PUBLIC OFFICIALS TRAINING
It is critical that public officials understand utility operations and
finance to help them make informed decisions. ACE19 offers a
robust program for new and returning public official attendees. This
program is designed to help mayors, water and wastewater board
commissioners, and council members better understand key water
issues and take smart steps to address them. The program includes a networking event along with three specialized
courses covering the basics of water treatment and distribution,
governance, and finance/asset management. Courses may be taken
separately or together, depending on which topics are most relevant to
you. If all three courses are completed, AWWA will award a Certificate
of Completion. You must register to attend ACE19 to participate in the
public officials’ events and training.
