An asset management plan is a utility’ s blueprint for the management of infrastructure with a view to operating, maintaining and renewing assets in the most cost-effective manner while maintaining a specific level of service. This session describes various elements that make up Asset Management Plans and R & R prioritization programs for linear and aboveground assets. It includes case studies and recent efforts to mandate asset management plans for water utilities.
