EyeCareCE . org . Upon registering for this learning lab , you will be registered for the prerequisite course . Description : This lab will cover the essentials for performing applanation tonometry . Participants will be guided through the entire process of performing Goldmann applanation tonometry using a slit lamp mounted Goldmann tonometer and schematic eyes . The emphasis will be on proper techniques to efficiently and safely perform the task .

The attendees will rotate through stations , each with different equipment . These planned stations include IOLMaster , LENSTAR , ARGOS and ultrasound A-scan . Description : This lab is recommended for participants who have little ( six months to one year ) experience working with the slit lamp microscope . A hands-on lab on the use of the slit lamp microscope will be presented . Uses of various types of illumination will be discussed and practiced . Convergent and parallel optical systems ( similar to Haag-Streit and Zeiss models ) will be provided .
