Development programmes are very rarely linear and year on year fluctuations are common within the sector . In 2019- 20 we completed 160 new homes and have a further 676 in progress at the year end as we gear up to complete the 2016-2021 Shared Ownership Affordable Homes Programme ( SOAHP ) and make substantial progress with the Strategic Partnership programme . In line with our peers , Accord ’ s development programme focusses on the supply of new social housing and meeting the strong demand for affordable housing in our area of operation .

As a developing association , we borrow funds to support the building of new homes and our gearing reflects our growth ambitions ; using our balance sheet capacity to generate new supply whilst managing the financial stability of the organisation .
