9 . Regulator of Social Housing assessment
In 2019 the Regulator of Social Housing carried out an In-depth Assessment ( IDA ) of Accord and awarded our housing association with the highest rating it is possible to achieve . We were awarded G1 for governance and V1 for financial viability – this confirms that the regulator is fully assured that Accord is well managed and well governed and that Accord is a strong , financially stable organisation .
10 . Welcoming politicians from across the parties
As one of the Midlands ’ leading housing associations we are always happy to host visits to our schemes and to have the opportunity to meet MPs from across the parties to demonstrate the work we do and the homes we provide .

This year we welcomed Robert Jenrick Secretary of State for Housing , Communities and Local Government on two occasions – once when he visited LoCaL Homes , our off-site manufacturing facility for timber framed homes , and again when he came to meet one of the young homeless people we housed through the Housing First programme .
We also had the opportunity to meet Jess Phillips MP for Birmingham Yardley when she visited to find out about the Happy Healthy Holidays programme which supported families and young people during the 2019 school summer holidays , providing free fun , food and activities .
Pat McFadden , MP for Wolverhampton South East was full of praise for Accord ’ s new development on Darkhouse Lane when he visited the scheme in September .
11 . Accord partners with Legal & General
In 2019 Accord became one of 14 housing associations to partner with Legal & General to manage its pipeline of 3,500 affordable homes across the UK .
