CENTRAL FACILITIES
KEELE POSTGRADUATE ASSOCIATION
SOCIAL FACILITY
Following consultation with members of the KPA, a new
home will be created for the Keele Postgraduate Association
through the remodelling and extension of House 99. The
extended building will be the same size as the existing KPA
and provide a similar range of social and meeting spaces.
The proposals give a unique opportunity to bring a new
purpose to the ‘building of interest’ and will be carried out
in a manner that is sensitive to its mid-century heritage.
House 99, a former warden’s house, is an import ant
building to the University and these proposals will secure
its future.

First Floor
The proposals will give the “best of both”. The characterful
spaces within the building, such as the sunken lounge
and fireplace, will provide cosy and comfortable spaces
to meet, whilst a new minimalist extension will provide a
flexible social space for events, served by a new bar and
kitchen.

HOLLY CROSS & THE OAKS
It is still the intention to provide improved hub facilities
at Holly Cross and The Oaks. Further engagement and
options assessment work is required to identify what is
required to best improve the student experience.
