Allannah Jackson Street
Feast
There have been many career
highlights, but some recent career
standouts were working on planning
summer and holiday parties for global brands
including Google, Facebook and Amazon. I lead
these projects from the venue side, liaising with
clients, creative, suppliers, production and venue
teams, to plan operations for over 2,000 guests, it’s
a really exciting part of my job.
A highlight of last year was hosting prestigious
industry events such as the Restaurant Magazine
R200 Awards, which brought together 200 of
the London food industry’s top talent to Hawker
House for a sit-down meal. I worked with our
Street Food traders to create stellar menus for
what is a very different style of service, and
planned the event alongside our clients at William
Reed.
However the most fulfilling events for me are
weddings, and it was exciting to host our first
Street Feast wedding reception. I worked closely
with the couple over the course of a year, selecting
food and drink options, arranging decorations,
entertainment and advising on floorplans and
flow. Watching their family and friend’s surprise
and enchantment at the unusual wedding venue
was enormously rewarding.
The future looks exciting, interactive elements
have become increasingly important to any event,
and technology that creates these experiences will
continue to grow in popularity. Guests want to
feel involved in the events they attend and equally
organisers strive to drive engagement, both on site
and through social media.
Dan Jeal Dax BD Sarah Liu Kit and Caboodle
Jeal came with high acclaim from his nominator:
Dan is a really talented events marketer and
business developer with an MBA under his belt.
He is smart, quick thinking and motivated. He
ensures he has great rapport not only with this
clients but his buyers too.
His ideas are slick and always come to fruition.
He has his finger firmly on the events pulse.
In five years time Jeal hopes he will be running
his own sucessful business. Nomination comment: Sarah is in her first year
with Kit and Caboodle Ltd. She has already
shone in terms of producing events under
supervision and now independently. She has
proved highly efficient in terms of moving forward
the administration processes of the company
in general, and project work in particular, by
updating and moving systems online, including
our project management diary, supplier databases
and new business intelligence base.
She has taken projects from initial contact right
through to delivery and follow up, in the process
upselling our services to clients with confidence
and charm.
We have had excellent feedback and return
business, resulting in Sarah being promoted
to manage events of higher overall value than
previously.
As a company, we are interested in developing
our Festival and Outdoor/Live events capacity
in 2019, with Sarah learning through the Access
Next Generation opportunities as an integral part
of that development, including management of
our outdoor asset, Karavanaoke.
