Main stage ready

The Event Production Show , on 26-27 February , will once again see ExCeL London transformed into a vast and vibrant platform for showcasing groundbreaking technology and gamechanging solutions , launching panindustry initiatives and gaining insight from leading event professionals .

With the Knowledge Hub , The Future Stage and Access All Areas Main Stage conference areas , EPS will offer non-stop knowledge sharing and debate . I will be overseeing the Main Stage , where there will be no shortage of informative and interesting discussions .
Topics to be tackled include Driving Efficiencies and Future Proofing Events Businesses , Transforming Music Festivals Through Data & AI , the launch of the Showstop ® Procedure course in the wake of Astroworld , and Weathering The Storm – How Event Operators Can Best Prepare and Mitigate Against Increasingly Frequent Climate Chaos .
The Main Stage conference will kick off on a positive note , with The Creativity
– Event Concepts for the Future session involving promoters who are launching new event concepts . Among the speakers will be AEG Presents CEO Steve Homer , and Primavera Sound ’ s Marta Pallarès – who being on the board of European festival association YOUROPE can provide a pan-European perspective .
In this issue ( p . 27 ), organisers of some of Europe ’ s biggest festivals , including YOUROPE chair Christof Huber , reveal the many challenges facing the European festival industry and the steps being made to address them . Among the key issues is a significant political move to the right in many countries that is leaving libertarian festival operators in a difficult position . We also hear from two seasoned event professionals set on bringing their combined 80-years of experience in the industry to bear to make major events significantly safer . Expert witnesses in the Astroworld Festival court case , security experts Steve Allen and Dr Mark Hamilton are launching The Showstop ® Procedure Course . Ahead of their session at EPS , find out more about their plans and motivations on page 32 .
Also set to speak at EPS , on day two ’ s Driving Efficiencies & Future Proofing Events Businesses session , Andrew Lansley provides an update ( p . 37 ) on the progress and impact of the Green Events Code of Practice ( GECOP ).
At EPS we will not only celebrate young professionals , who are making an impact across the industry , with the presentation of the Access All Areas 30under30 awards to the class of 2025 , but also welcome members of the newly created AAA 100 for an exclusive networking event . See page 42 for details of who and what is involved in the AAA 100 .
It ’ s going to be a jam-packed couple of days but do please come and say hello at the AAA Main Stage . See you at EPS !
